8th Annual Halloween on the Wharf:  

Trick or Treat By the Bay

& Costume Contest with Cash Prizes 

on Saturday, October 31st

Monterey, CA. September 9, 2026. Save the Date for this great destination for all ages on Halloween. Come out and enjoy the creativity and fun of everyone's costumes, too.

Fisherman's Wharf Association will hold its free "8th Annual Halloween on the Wharf: Trick or Treat By the Bay & Costume Contest” at historic Old Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey, California, on  Saturday, October 31, 2026.

At a Glance:

When: Saturday,  October 31, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Where: Monterey’s Old Fisherman’s Wharf (GPS to 201 Washington Street, Monterey, CA)

What: 7^th Annual Halloween on the Wharf: Trick or Treat By the Bay (free)

- Come in costume and enjoy this free family-friendly event on Halloween. 

-  Fun Photo ops with all of our Halloween decor up and down the Wharf.

- Trick or Treat and receive some Sweet Treats at participating merchants on the Wharf.

-  Candy World will feature a Witch for fun photo ops and give away special Halloween candy.

-  Enjoy a Halloween DJ with Spooky Halloween Music Favorites from 4 pm - 7 pm in front of Rockfish Harbor Grill at the end of the Wharf 

- Enter our special Halloween on the Wharf Costume Contest at 5:00 pm with a great DJ and also our Master of Ceremonies David Marzetti of KMBY 1240 AM - 106.7 FM in front of Rockfish Harbor Grill. It's so fun to watch and enter!

Under 8 years old - 1st prize $100, 2nd prize $50, 3rd prize $25

Ages 9-21 years old - 1st prize $100, 2nd prize $50, 3rd prize $25

Ages 22 and older - 1st prize $100, 2nd prize $50, 3rd prize $25

Group (2 or more) - 1st prize $150, 2nd prize $75, 3rd prize $50

Note: Must be present to win so plan to stay until at least 7 pm

 Again this year there will be additional attendee seating after 4 pm in front of the Costume Contest stage in front of Rockfish Harbor Grill. Come early, grab a seat and enjoy the fun and funny costume show!
