FYI...
Please wear a mask and keep your 6 foot social distance whenever possible!
The Wharf is Open 365 days a year and with nearly every restaurant and stores in operation now. Our restaurants have outdoor dining plus they are offering To Go and Curbside and some are Delivering to hotels.  Gift stores and Candy Shops are Open. Whale Watching, Fishing, Sailing and Glass Bottom Boat excursions are all available too.
If you are planning a visit to the Old Fisherman’s Wharf now, please be aware of some new rules.

Although Old Fisherman’s Wharf businesses have always had high cleaning standards, we have initiated new cleaning and sanitization protocols throughout the property. The staff at all of our merchants have gone through rigorous training on how to uphold the required health and safety protocols.

  • Visitors must also comply with this health and safety protocol during their visit to Old Fisherman’s Wharf:

  • If you have a cough or fever, please stay at home

  • Guests are required to wear face coverings (3 years and older)

  • Practice Social Distancing by keeping 6 feet between your travel party and others

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water or use hand sanitizers.

The public restrooms are open at the end of the Wharf and next to the Harbormaster’s office in the Waterfront Parking Lot. Many of our restaurants and other businesses have public restrooms and hand sanitizers too.

Is Old Fisherman’s Wharf Open?

Yes – Old Fisherman’s Wharf is open for guests.

What can I do at the Old Fisherman’s Wharf?

During this time, guests can still walk to the end of the Wharf to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Monterey Bay, go on fishing and whale watching trips with prior reservations, shop, and purchase items from the shops and dine al fresco at restaurants and fish markets. Many of our restaurants and fish markets have To Go/Curbside options.

Am I required to wear a mask at the Old Fisherman’s Wharf?

Yes. At this time, the State of California requires that everyone wear a mask when outdoors and within 6 feet (2 meters) of other people.

The large Waterfront Lot is open with a parking attendant and paid parking - please see below***. The City is honoring Monterey resident decals in the adjacent parking lot near the Harbormaster Office and in other nearby lots. The Annual City of Monterey Local Residents Parking sticker is available for $10 and includes 2 free hours of parking seven days a week. Click here for information. The new ParkMobile app is available to use for payment in the Harbormaster Office parking lot and others.

There is a free To Go/Curbside Parking Space in the lot at the head of the Wharf off of Scott/Olivier Street near the parking kiosk.**There are also a limited number of 30 minute parking spaces there and the 30 minute parking time limit is being enforced. The Commercial Parking Loading Zone spaces are being enforced.

There are public restrooms on and near the Wharf including in a brown building in the parking lot near the Harbormaster Office to the right of the kiosk as you drive into the Waterfront Lot and near the end on the left before Big Fish Grill. If you bring your well-behaved dog, he or she must be on a leash and please bring bags to clean up any waste. We do have one dog waste dispenser in front of Scales with some bags if needed.
