WORLD’S TOUGHEST ROW – PACIFIC RETURNS TO MONTEREY BAY!

Monterey, CA, May 19, 2026 – The countdown is on to the race start of the World’s Toughest Row - Pacific 2026, currently set for Saturday June 6th. This year’s event will see five incredible teams from the US, Switzerland, the UK, Ireland & Australia take on the formidable 2,800 mile crossing to Hanalei Bay, Kaua’i. Their goal - to raise substantial funds for their chosen charities, test the extremes of human endurance, and brave the full force of the Pacific Ocean.

From May 29th, the teams will arrive in Monterey to carry out final preparations, complete rigorous inspections, and meet all safety requirements. A dedicated boat park will be established in the waterfront parking lot at Monterey Harbor, open for the public to visit. 

From June 2nd, rowers will launch and enter the marina for last checks before the official race launch on June 6th (subject to weather conditions).
