Monterey, CA (July 6, 2026) - The nation's premier motorcycle road racing championship returns to the iconic WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca as MotoAmerica Superbike Speedfest roars back to the Monterey Peninsula July 10–12 for one of the most exciting weekends of the summer.
Featuring the legendary Corkscrew, dramatic elevation changes and some of the fastest racing in North America, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca has long been a favorite among riders and fans alike. With open paddock access, family-friendly activities and world-class competition, MotoAmerica offers one of the most immersive experiences in motorsports.
Last year's event delivered spectacular racing, highlighted by hometown favorite and six-time MotoAmerica Superbike Champion Cameron Beaubier earning victory in Race 1, while Bobby Fong captured victories in Races 2 and 3 after thrilling battles with eventual 2025 champion Josh Herrin. The action throughout the weekend reinforced Laguna Seca's reputation for producing unforgettable motorcycle racing.
"We're thrilled to welcome MotoAmerica back to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca," said Mel Harder, President and General Manager of WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. "Motorcycle racing has always been an important part of Laguna Seca's history, and there is nothing quite like watching the country's best riders attack the Corkscrew. MotoAmerica delivers incredible competition, unmatched fan access and an unforgettable atmosphere. It's a weekend every motorsports fan should experience."
The 2026 championship battle arrives in Monterey with plenty of momentum. Former Superbike champion Mathew Scholtz has emerged as one of the early favorites, while Sean Dylan Kelly, JD Beach, Bobby Fong, and Cameron Petersen continue to wage a fierce battle as the season enters its pivotal summer stretch. Fans can expect every point to matter as the championship contenders tackle one of the sport's most demanding circuits.
MotoAmerica is led by one of Laguna Seca's greatest legends, three-time 500cc World Champion Wayne Rainey, whose legacy is permanently etched into the circuit through Rainey Curve, the iconic Turn 9 named in his honor. A native of California, and resident of the Monterey Peninsula, Rainey captured three consecutive 500cc World Championship victories at Laguna Seca before going on to become one of the most influential figures in American motorcycle racing. Today, as President of MotoAmerica, he continues to shape the future of the sport while inspiring generations of riders and fans.
“The one race I look forward to the most on the MotoAmerica calendar each year is the Laguna Seca round,” said MotoAmerica President Wayne Rainey. “I am sure our riders, teams, our entire paddock and especially our fans would agree. Laguna Seca is a cornerstone of American road racing heritage, and it holds a very significant place in my own career. From a technical standpoint, this circuit demands perfect focus. The demanding layout forces riders to be inch perfect around the entire racetrack to avoid any mistakes that could cost them the race. This weekend is going to show us exactly who has the mental discipline to manage their tires and execute their race plan.”
Beyond the on-track action, fans can enjoy rider meet-and-greets, stunt shows, vendor displays, camping, fan laps and open paddock access, providing a unique opportunity to get closer to the teams, motorcycles and riders than at almost any other major racing series. Children 12 and under receive free admission with a paying adult, making MotoAmerica Superbike Speedfest one of the best values in motorsports.
Tickets, camping and VIP experiences are available now. Don't miss three days of incredible racing as MotoAmerica returns to the legendary WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, July 10–12.
